Temple Overview

The Temple of Hatshepsut deserves the title of The jewel of the temples of Luxor. It is the largest and most important funerary temple of the pharaonic era, considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and are carved into  the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, one of the most important archeological sites on the West  Bank of Luxor.  Apart from its unique form as  Egypt’s  only terraced temple it also stands out due to the preservation of its hieroglyphics that cover the walls of the temple , these   have withstood the passage of time and retained many of their original colours, making the visit to the temple a unique Experience.
